Connection Dropped

People all around me, movin in a pattern
Same shit different days, makin circles like the rings around saturn
Alienated, isolated, struggling to make a connection
Wishin every day my life was movin in a new direction
Rise of the machine, the world has been taken over
Such a nightmare this is, I wish i wasn’t sober
The pain of the every day made numb by the verse that flow from inside
uncontrollably my thoughts are made public, good thing I got nothing to hide
Apparently we’re all one big happy family
All on this earth tryin to coexist, but can we?
Violence and hate are the every day norms,
As every day, right and wrong, humanity deforms
Excuse me, All you peoples need to listen,
Ya’ll need to knock off all this pointless bickerin
Flickerin
Like a flame in the wind
The emotions that make us human in importance descend
Here I stand before you now not physically
Don’t my rhymes flow from my mouth so lyrically?
We been eaten alive by the machines we devised
Our physical beings no longer survive
I’m sick and tired of all the LOL’s and OMG’s
This, passing for communication, spreads like a disease
Freeze
Look at where you is
In the middle of the freeway mind melded with yo hand held piece o’ shiz
With facebook and twitter
You don’t need no baby sitter
Just put yo kid in front of a screen
and watch their mind get eaten by the beast so lean and mean
In all of society we never been so connected
but the price we pay is real human relationships get neglected
Eaten by the machine, we posses no control
Is the technology worth its ever growing toll?
Don’t get me wrong, I ain’t claimin to be no different
Just thought I’d try to use communication, though forgotten in the past so distant
Resistant
To hear the words that I speak because they be true
Even though real friendships they could renew
A future so desolate is where we are headed
A future so bleak it should genuinely be dreaded
Take this under advisement my rhymes are yours to mull over
I pray someday you truly get to discover
What a joy it is to truly communicate with your fellow man
To spend time in fellowship like one big happy clan.
